Yangzhou Puppet Troupe
A special performance by the acclaimed Yangzhou Puppet Troupe will take place during our Opening Night Premiere Party. The Yangzhou Puppet Show originated in the Tang Dynasty with the accompanying music and storylines based directly upon Peking and local operas. It is one of the most treasured ancient artistic traditions of China. One of the lost arts of China, Yangzhou puppetry is on the Intangible Culture Heritage Protection Project list of culturally important art forms.

11 AM - Alexandre Renoir: Teaching Kids to Paint, Booth D219A on the LAAS Floor (MUST RSVP)
Galerie Michael has invited one of the most well-known impressionist's artists Pierre-August Renior's Great Grandson, Alexandre Renior to teach children how to paint. Galerie Michael will provide canvases and paints - Be sure to wear your painting clothes!
This event is for children ages 5 ’Äì 8. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There are only 15 places available so please RSVP by Friday, January 20 by calling 202.412.3309 and leaving a voicemail with the child's name, parent(s) name and a phone number or email you may be reached.
